Parent workshop - Child Parent Relationship Therapy

Does your child exhibit these behaviors? Temper Tantrums, lying, withdrawal, difficulty getting along with others, lack of motivation in learning, and so on.

 

These behaviors often conceal underlying psychological distress. The focus of this workshop is on how to listen to the needs, emotions, and desires expressed by children through play. By providing appropriate responses, parent can convey a deep sense of care & understanding for their children, helping them overcome emotional obstacles, restore healthy emotions, and develop positive growth.

 

This course helps parents aware the important of child-parent relationship, attitudes, approaches, and techniques for communicating with their children, enabling them to understand their children's inner world through play. It promotes child-parent relationships and improves children's emotional and behavioral problems.

 

Facilitator:  Sin Wai Chun, June, Play Therapist (MSC, PT)

June is a licensed play therapist dedicated to helping parents relearn how to assist their kids through child centered play therapy in a practical way.  June has a Bachelor of Art (BA) in Social Work at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. June has also a Master’s degree of Science in Play Therapy from the University of South Wales. She was also a registered social worker in Hong Kong Social Workers Registration Board and a member in the British Association of Play Therapists.

 

June understands every client is unique, and treatment may vary. So, she continues to learn about emerging psychological trends and therapies to different social services organizations, universities, schools and kindergartens. June has worked various clients in Hong Kong and has a therapy success rate of 90%.
