Fion Cheng

Registered Clinical Counselor (MC, RCC, CCC)

Fion Cheng is a Registered Clinical counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCC). She received a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UBC. She also has pursed extensive post-graduate training in several areas of practice which are Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Clinical supervision training etc.

 

Fion is passionate in supporting and helping individuals, couples and families. She is skilled in holding a safe space for her clients and in assessing relationship dynamics. She believes every relationship is different and unique. She has extensive experience in working with different backgrounds of clients. She speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English.

 

Fion also brought in experience from non-profits, hospitals and medical clinics experience. In the non-profit organization, Fion works as a clinical counsellor and as a practicum supervisor to counselling students completing their masters-level practicum.

 

Fion offers various ways of services (virtual and in-person availability) to the lower mainland. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and her little one. She likes to cook, paint and yoga.
